The Prague Pride Parade took place on Saturday, August 10, in the Czech Republic's capital. This grand event attracted about 60,000 participants from the Czech Republic and neighboring countries such as Austria, Germany, Poland, and Slovakia.
The "ALO: Afghan LGBT Organization", based in the Czech Republic, participated in the Prague Pride Parade to raise awareness about the LGBTQ+ community in Afghanistan. ALO members carried English-language placards with messages such as "Afghan LGBTQ+ Lives Matter", "Save Afghan LGBTQ+ Refugees in Turkey", "Save LGBTQ+ People in War Zones", and "Stop Killing of Afghan and Iranian LGBTQ+ People."
ALO Members also engaged with UNHCR representatives, diplomats, and human rights organizations to update them on the current situation of the Afghan LGBTQ+ community.
